Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or
equivalent stream from a recognised College/ Institutions affiliated to a
recognised University with having National Trade Certificate in stenography
from ITI in Assam or any other institute recognised by the Govt. of Assam/Govt.
of India with 80 WPM in English Stenography.
Other Eligibility Criteria of Assam
Police
Nationality: Candidates must be
Indian Citizen, ordinarily resident of Assam.
Pay Scale: Rs.14000 – Rs.49000
(Pay Band No. 2) with admissible Grade pay plus other allowances as admissible
under the rules.
Age Limit: Candidates age must
need to be between 18 years to 38 years as on 1st January of 2020 (i.e. the
candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2002 and after 01.01.1982).
Age Relaxation: Category wise age
relaxation will be as below followed.
- 5 years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) and ST(H).
- 3 years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/
MOBC.
- Upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years in
respect of Trained Home Guards who have served for a minimum period of 3
years or more. (Certificate to this effect from competent authority will
have to be submitted)

For this recruitment State Level Police
Recruitment Board (SLPRB) of Assam Police will conduct two
types of examination a) Written Test and b) Practical Test. More details of these two tests are below discussed.
1.
Written Test
The written test will be of 50 marks and will be completely OMR
based. There will be 50 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark.
There will be negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer. Candidates will
use black ball pen to answer the OMR based answer sheet. Duration of the test
will be of 2 (two) hours
The questions will be set in four parts:
- Logical reasoning, aptitude,
- Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam
and India,
- Comprehension,
- General Knowledge.
2.
Practical Test
The second test is Practical Test where the selection board will
test the practical ability of candidates. The total test will be related to computer.
